Ham Stuff:
Well, I finally did it - As of April, 2000 I'm . I've been planning to get an amateur radio license for some time, and finally got my tail into gear. I'm still only a Technician, but it is loads of fun. To find out more about Ham Radio, start with the American Radio Relay League, or ARRL
I did a lot of my studying with AA9PW's Amateur Radio Exam Practice Page
If you're visiting Boston, check out the Boston Amateur Radio Club or the Waltham Amateur Radio Association
So far, my only real Ham Gear is a Yaesu VX-5R triband HT, which I really like.
For those of you into serious radios, aka Boatanchors...

Here's my 1960 EAC R390A, serial #146. Thanks to a Matt Parkinson it is now working perfectly and receiving daily use on SW.
Read about the legendary R390A at Chuck Rippel's Site , ASA Online, Jan Skirrow's Boatanchor Dreams, and look at the R390A FAQ.
To read about the older version or R390 "Non-A" look at Dave Medley's PlayPen
